Design Biography for Elizabeth Paquin
Elizabeth Paquin is a native Rhode Islander, born and raised in Newport, she also resided in several other RI communities and is presently in Warwick. She has been passionate about design and decorating since growing up as a young girl in her mother's 19th century Victorian home. Liz has a love of mixing old and new, and her designs and decor are proof of this. She is gratified in creating spaces that meld the architecture of the past with that of the present and uses colors and fabrics to keep the space vibrant and current.
Previously, Liz has worked in several capacities as an office manager, administrative assistant, in clothing sales/merchandising, as well as in the financial world. Just recently she completed the RI State Realtor's coursework providing her with the insight into today's Real Estate market. While employed for a major women's retailer Liz was tasked with the store's visual staging. The ever changing environment in retail sales allowed her the ability to use her design skills to present the store in the best possible "fashion".
Liz brings with her the ability to "see and feel" design, turning a house into a home. She has sold two of her own homes, has re-designed, built, and decorated another home, and is currently renovating another home in Warwick. Liz has extensive knowledge in what it takes to prepare the home you love for today's real estate market. She has also guided others with design ideas to improve their living spaces or modify them for resale.
EPD is not simply about staging homes for resale. We are also about re-design. Many times you have what you need but it just needs a fresh outlook. Liz has been re-designing rooms and refinishing furniture for over 20 years.
